Handheld Learning 2007

A recent Becta research report on 1:1 access to mobile learning devices demonstrated a requirement for "Systems for storage of and access to work need to be developed. Teachers and learners need to access digital work to provide and receive feedback."

Problem solved.

RedHalo provides every learner with a free and secure, personal learning space that they can use to collaborate with educators and other learners. Truly mobile, the spaces are accessible anytime, anywhere and on anything.

There are no limits to the number of learners that an educator can work with using RedHalo. There are no limits to the number of students a learner can collaborate with. RedHalo embraces the power of the Internet, allowing learners to be completely mobile with their digital learning experience. A learner can access their space from virtually any device including PCs, UMPCs, PDAs, smartphones and entertainment consoles. This is what we mean by "learning while mobile". Should learning be anything but?

The Redhalo platform ensures that work created by a learner is stored on one of Europes most secure remote servers or, optionally, on a local server where it may be reviewed by an educator who may also use the same system to distribute content as well as new applications to each of the spaces under their control.

Because RedHalo uses open standards a learner can use virtually any device that has Internet capability to access their personal learning space from anywhere. Plug-ins are being developed to allow interperability with 3rd party e-assessment, e-portfolio and VLE systems.

Our mission: Make learning personal and universally accessible.
